Wendy Williams claims that she is not cognitively impaired and is being kept against her will at a New York wellness facility with just $15 to her name. The family of the legendary talk show host has reportedly promised to fight for her freedom.

An unnamed source claimed Wendy’s brood does not believe one minute that she is so debilitated that she needs to be shackled to a virtual prison where she is surrounded by old people and has nothing to do but sit and stare out the window.

Most, if not all, fans are aware that Wendy was placed under court-ordered guardianship in 2022 after Wells Fargo froze her bank accounts and claimed she was “incapacitated.” On Jan. 16, the famous host shocked everyone with her clarity of speech and thought after previewing her present life when she called into the iHeart Radio program The Breakfast Club.

An anonymous insider told the National Enquirer that the audience was “gripped” by Wendy’s “completely normal” tone as she denounced Sean “Diddy” Combs.

“I am not cognitively impaired—but I feel like I am in prison. I’m in this place where the people are in their 90s and their 80s and their 70s. There’s something wrong with these people,” Wendy said. She also described her situation as “emotional abuse.”

“I sit here, and my life goes by,” The Wendy Williams Show host said. Wendy revealed that she only has $15 in her finances, adding that her money “is in prison.”

To recall, Wendy’s camp divulged she was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, a language disorder that makes it difficult to read, write, or speak. However, as per the informant, the legendary host sounded clear, purposeful, and fully cognizant as she shared details about her present situation.

“She didn’t show any signs of dementia that the people who control her guardianship say she suffers from. Her family is determined to set her free from the chains of guardianship that bind her and make sure her finances are protected,” it shared.

Wendy’s loved ones have set up an online fundraiser to help them secure legal representation to liberate her. Her family and friends also released a statement saying their goal is to ensure that the TV personality’s best interests are being served because she deserves the opportunity to live with dignity and make her own choices, free from undue influence.

“Wendy’s family realizes she has some issues—but she’s not crazy. Wendy’s words on that program put a fire under them. This fight has just begun,” the mole shared.
