A newly surfaced website is doxxing Tesla owners, offering removal only after verifying vehicle sales. The stunt amplifies backlash against CEO Elon Musk’s support for a convicted felon’s presidential bid and his appointment to a disputed government role.
Thousands of Tesla owners’ addresses and contact details have appeared on a website. According to the same website, selling your car is the only method to remove your name from the list, Electrek reports.
Groups began picketing outside Tesla stores across North America and beyond in February, marking the beginning of protests against the company.
Protesters’ justifications have been quite clear: they are opposed to Elon Musk and his current policies.
Just in case you’ve been living under a rock, Musk has just gotten involved in politics after becoming radicalized by his hopelessly hooked to Twitter.
What began with a nine-figure bribe to the presidential campaign of a convicted felon—which many expected would lead to corruption when the felon reentered the Oval Office (despite the existence of a clear legal remedy for insurrectionists) and appointed Musk to a fictitious and unnecessary government department—has, predictably, so far, failed to yield any significant results.
As one might expect, this interference has not gone well for Musk’s company, Tesla, which is responsible for the bulk of his fortune and over which he retains some semblance of leadership.
Evidently, not everyone is fond of being a part of a government that actively works to destroy US industry, poison Americans, and increase their costs, among other misguided policies.
In spite of claims to the contrary, the website presents itself as a social media platform for Tesla owners and features a map alongside an intentionally insulting statement outlining the site’s purpose. On the other hand, it declares its support for “creative expressions of protest that you can execute from the comfort of your own home.” That being said, the site also substitutes a molotov cocktail for a cursor.

The group makes no assertions about how it obtained the information, and the method of collection is not immediately clear.
If you happen to be a Tesla owner and see that your name is on the list, you can easily remove it by sending an email with a scanned document showing that you sold your car.
