The explosive legal battle of Blake Lively with Justin Baldoni may be affecting her relationship with former bestie Taylor Swift after the “Gorgeous” hitmaker’s name has been dragged into Hollywood’s biggest court case in years.
The ladylove of Travis Kelce is said to be “avoiding” Lively after her name was mentioned in leaked messages between the actress and her It Ends with Us co-star Baldoni. Given the massive year Swift just had with Eras Tour, she is not about to ruin it by something that is out of her control.
“Taylor’s an absolute stickler for her image. She’s worked long and hard building up her reputation and if things continue to get worse, she’ll have no choice but to fully walk away,” an unnamed source told Woman’s Day Australia.
Today’s Esquire could not independently verify these claims.
Meanwhile, most recent reports claimed Baldoni sent a nearly seven-minute-long voice note apology to Lively during the production of It Ends with Is, wherein he described himself as a “very flawed” man.
The voice recording was sent at around 2 a.m. after a heated meeting about Lively’s rewrite of the film’s rooftop scene, which Baldoni allegedly did not like.
“I’m really sorry, I f—ed up, that is a fail on my part. I am far from perfect, I am a very flawed man, as my wife will attest,” Baldoni stated in a recording, as per a TMZ report.
“I’m gonna f— up, I’m gonna say the wrong thing, I’m gonna put my foot in my mouth, I’m gonna piss you off, probably, but I will always apologize and find my way back to center,” he furthered.
Most fans are aware that Baldoni and Lively’s highly public legal fight started in December after the wife of Ryan Reynolds filed a complaint accusing the director-actor of sexual harassment and retaliation with the California Civil Rights Department, followed by a civil lawsuit.
The Gossip Girl actress, who is also a producer of It Ends With Us, claimed Baldoni and his PR team led a preemptive online smear campaign against her.
Part of the voice recording relates to the sexual harassment element of the lawsuit. According to reports, Baldoni repeatedly entered Lively’s trailer while she was undressed and breastfeeding.
In the note, Baldoni reportedly apologized to Lively, saying, “I’m sorry. You probably have kids all over you, and a baby on your boob and you’re listening to me ramble.”
Baldoni filed a $400 million countersuit for defamation and civil extortion, claiming that Lively of destroying his professional and personal reputation. He also accused the Shedding for the Wedding actress and Reynolds of trying to take over creative control of the movie.
