Leaked reports reveal the key difference between the upcoming Nothing Phone (3a) and its Pro counterpart: the cameras. The Pro model boasts a triple camera setup with a 3x optical zoom, while the standard (3a) offers a 2x zoom, raising questions about value.
Something about the Nothing Phone (3a) and the Pro variants is different when it comes to the cameras, according to a report from Smartprix. A triple camera configuration will be included with the Pro model.
It has three primary and secondary cameras, with a 50MP primary, a 50MP secondary with 3x zoom and optical image stabilization, and an 8MP ultra-wide. The phone can shoot at 60x hybrid zoom thanks to its 3x zoom.
Similar to other high-end phones like the Realme 13 Pro+, the zoom camera uses the same Sony LYT-600 sensor. The 50MP and 8MP primary cameras are present and accounted for on the basic phone. But it will only have a 2x zoom rather than a 3x. According to Android Headlines, it is uncertain whether the Nothing Phone (3a) will employ the same Sony sensor as the Pro model. Therefore, we will have to wait and observe.
The difference between a 2x and a 3x zoom, though, isn’t particularly noticeable. We can make a better educated selection with the help of camera samples, but other users might not think it’s worth the extra money.
So, now that we know how the Nothing Phone (3a) and Pro variants differ, what more can we anticipate from these phones? The cameras appear to be the key feature that sets this apart.
Rumor has it that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 will power both devices. The Snapdragon 8 Elite, the top-of-the-line model, is more powerful than this chipset. One Prime core runs at 2.5GHz, three performance cores at 2.4GHz, and four efficiency cores at 1.8GHz make up this 4nm octa-core processor.
Also, rumor has it that both phones will feature a 120 Hz AMOLED screen measuring 6.72 inches. Users who frequently swap their SIM cards may appreciate the phones’ eSIM capability. Finally, a 5,000mAh battery is anticipated to be included in both phones.
It appears that the main distinction between the base and Pro models is the camera, and that there isn’t much of a difference between them. Naturally, prices will also vary. To find out, we’ll have to wait for OnePlus to make their announcement.
