Former First Lady Michelle Obama has given the public another glimpse into her decades-long marriage with former President Barack Obama, revealing that their bedtime habits don’t always align.

Speaking on the upcoming episode of the “Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce” podcast, Michelle, 61, admitted that she enjoys going to bed early, much to the confusion of her husband.

“My husband teases me about how early I can go to bed. He just doesn’t understand,” Michelle said in a preview clip from the episode set to air Thursday.

She described her ideal nighttime routine as getting into “some good sheets” and making sure the room is cool. However, she clarified that if there are guests over, she makes an effort to stay engaged before retreating to bed.

Michelle’s Past Complaints About Barack’s Habits

This isn’t the first time Michelle has opened up about their marital dynamics. In a recent episode of her podcast, “IMO,” she shared that Barack has struggled with punctuality throughout their relationship.

“Barack, you know, he had to adjust to what on time was for me,” she explained, adding that he used to start looking for his glasses right when they were supposed to be leaving. She acknowledged that he has improved over the years but noted that it took time.

The couple, who tied the knot in 1992, have been married for more than 30 years and share two daughters, Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23.

Recent Speculation About the Obamas’ Marriage

Despite their lighthearted public exchanges, rumors have swirled about the state of the Obamas’ marriage. Barack has been spotted at several high-profile events without Michelle, including former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral and various political gatherings in Washington, D.C.

A source previously told Page Six that Michelle had “checked out” of life in D.C., fueling speculation that the couple was spending time apart. However, the Obamas have continued to present a united front on social media, with Barack posting affectionate messages to Michelle on her birthday and Valentine’s Day.

“Thirty-two years together and you still take my breath away,” Barack wrote in a post earlier this year. Michelle responded, “You’re my rock. Always have been. Always will be.”

Despite their differences in bedtime habits and past frustrations, Michelle and Barack continue to show the world that marriage is about adapting and growing together.
