Meghan Markle is once again at the center of controversy after reports surfaced claiming that filmmaker Tyler Perry had offered his Bahamas estate to the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry. However, sources close to Perry have denied these claims, fueling speculation that Meghan is using his name to boost her public image.

A post from social media account MeghansMole©️ accused Meghan of fabricating the narrative, stating that Perry “did not offer his place in The Bahamas.” The account also suggested that Meghan is “name-dropping him in PR articles” to create the illusion that she and Harry still have powerful allies willing to provide financial and logistical support.

Perry has long supported the Sussexes, famously offering them his Los Angeles mansion and security detail after they stepped down from royal duties in 2020. In their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, the couple revealed that Perry provided them a safe place to stay when they had nowhere else to turn.

Recent reports suggest that Perry is not involved in any new arrangements with the couple despite their past connection. The alleged PR spin has raised eyebrows among royal watchers, with critics questioning whether Meghan and Harry are attempting to maintain the perception that they still have deep-pocketed allies in their corner.

A source close to Perry has remained silent, neither confirming nor denying the allegations. However, the social media backlash suggests growing skepticism about Meghan and Harry’s current standing among their former Hollywood supporters.

Since leaving the royal family, Meghan and Harry have relied on their high-profile friendships to maintain relevance in Hollywood and philanthropy. While they have secured significant deals with Netflix and Spotify, their relationships with A-list celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey and the Clooneys, appear to have cooled in recent years.

Critics argue that Meghan and Harry struggle to hold onto their elite connections, prompting them to name-drop figures like Perry to bolster their public image.

As speculation continues, neither Perry nor the Sussexes have publicly addressed the claims, leaving room for further debate over whether the couple is exaggerating their relationships with Hollywood power players.
