Prominent insider Mark Gurman has revealed that the iPhone SE 4 is anticipated to debut this week at a rumored $499. Leaked details suggest the device will sport an updated design and enhanced internals, including an OLED screen upgrade, positioning it as a noteworthy midrange contender industrywide.
In addition to the new M4 MacBook Air and iPad Air lineup, rumors circulated last week that Apple is set to unveil the iPhone SE 4 next week. According to a new report from the same source, the iPhone SE 4—which will have a redesign and a higher price than the SE 3 but will still be around $500—could be released this week.
According to Mark Gurman, a well-known industry analyst, the iPhone SE 4 will be released “this week” in his most recent Power On newsletter. According to the analyst’s prior claims, the iPhone SE 4 is set to be released next week. In keeping with other reports, the most recent one verifies the launch window. According to Gurman, the launch is certain, and if rumors are to be believed, the much-anticipated release of the iPhone SE 4 with a makeover could happen as early as this week, maybe even in the middle of the week.
The fact that Apple has yet to distribute event invitations suggests that the unveiling of the iPhone SE 4 could take place via a press release rather than an event. The M4 MacBook Pro models were previously introduced by Apple in a press release; these machines are identical to their predecessors except for minor internal changes.
But since the iPhone SE 4 will have a totally new chassis, it would be prudent for Apple to have a separate presentation just for that device. In any case, the design is very familiar, like that of the iPhone 16, which may explain why the corporation is going with a press release instead of an actual event to unveil it.
Whether Apple opts for a small notch or the Dynamic Island, the iPhone SE 4 is anticipated to boast a design reminiscent of the iPhone 14 or iPhone 16. Although the outside and size are very similar, the inside would be competitive with the most recent iPhone 16 models.
The SE 4, according to WCCFTECH’s earlier reporting, may include 8 GB of RAM and the company’s own A18 chip—required for Apple Intelligence capabilities. An improved rear camera sensor, a USB-C port in place of Lightning, and a 6.1-inch organic light-emitting diode display are all expected features of the gadget.
Gurman further mentioned that the iPhone SE 4 would cost slightly more than the present SE 3. If Apple wants its devices to sell well, it has to keep the price rise in check, even though it makes sense given the lineup adjustments it is introducing. With all the new features, the tablet could end up costing as much as $499, which is still a fantastic deal compared to the current starting price of $429.
Apple has not yet said when the new iPhone SE 4 will be released, but according to Gurman, it might be this week at the latest.
