Gal Gadot appeared in high spirits as she made a solo appearance at Disneyland on Sunday to promote Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of Snow White.
The Wonder Woman actress, who portrays the Evil Queen in the reimagined film, posed for photos with Mickey and Minnie Mouse and a group of Disney villains ahead of the movie’s March 21 release. She also met young fans dressed as her character.
Notably absent from the event was Rachel Zegler, the film’s lead, fueling speculation about reported tension between the co-stars.
Rumors of Conflict Between Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler
According to People, multiple sources claim Gadot and Zegler have “nothing in common,” citing their 16-year age gap and differing political views.
“Gal is frustrated by all the drama surrounding the movie,” one insider revealed. “She enjoyed filming and got along with Rachel, but they are not friends. It was strictly professional.”
While Gadot, 39, has publicly supported Israel following the Hamas attacks in 2023, Zegler, 23, has voiced her support for the Free Palestine movement. Last August, after celebrating the Snow White trailer release on X, Zegler posted a follow-up message that read, “And always remember, Free Palestine.”
Their political differences have reportedly contributed to the growing distance between them.
Disney Scales Back Red Carpet as Controversy Grows
The Snow White remake has faced backlash over casting decisions and criticism of its modernized approach to the classic fairy tale. In response, Disney reportedly scaled back the Hollywood premiere at El Capitan Theatre, limiting red carpet access to photographers and a house crew instead of allowing media interviews.
Despite speculation about their relationship, Gadot and Zegler recently made joint appearances at both the Oscars and the film’s premiere. They posed for photos with director Marc Webb and fellow cast members but kept their interactions minimal.
Gadot’s Disneyland appearance, however, suggests she is eager to focus on promoting the film without addressing ongoing controversies. Zegler, meanwhile, was last seen in Spain promoting the project separately.
As Snow White nears its theatrical release, fans are left wondering whether the rumored rift between the film’s stars will overshadow the movie itself.
