President Trump announced Monday that his administration will unveil about 80,000 pages of classified documents tied to John F. Kennedy’s 1963 assassination on Tuesday. The move, long anticipated by the public, follows an executive order and promises to shed light on a decades-old national mystery.
Reuters reports that U.S. President Donald Trump, who has ordered the release of classified records relating to the death of U.S. President John F. Kennedy in 1963, announced on Monday that his administration will make public approximately 80,000 pages of data related to the former president on Tuesday. The materials concerned the assassination of Kennedy.
According to statements made by Trump to the media during his visit to The Kennedy Center in Washington, people have been waiting for this outcome for decades.
“It’s going to be very interesting.”
At the beginning of this year, President Trump signed an executive order that instructed the federal government to develop a plan to release records that were associated with the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, at the beginning of February, informed the public that it had discovered hundreds of additional documents that were connected to the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
Trump signed an order during his first week in office that was related to the release, and he also vowed to reveal papers relating the assassinations of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. and Senator Robert Kennedy, both of whom were assassinated in 1968. Both of these individuals were killed in 1968.
