Sean “Diddy” Combs, currently in jail facing multiple legal battles, is now accused of making a chilling death threat against a former Vibe magazine editor. In the Investigation Discovery docuseries The Fall of Diddy, journalist Danyel Smith revealed that the music mogul allegedly threatened her life in 1997 after she refused to show him an advance copy of a magazine cover featuring him.
Alleged Death Threat Over Magazine Cover
Smith, who was the editor of Vibe at the time, claims that Combs reacted with rage when she denied his request to preview the cover before publication.
“He said he would see me dead in a trunk if I didn’t show it to him,” Smith alleges in the documentary. She further claims that the situation escalated when Combs arrived at the magazine’s offices with two men, appearing to intimidate her.
The editor eventually reconciled with Combs and continued working with him in the years that followed, but she now regrets that decision.
Diddy’s Legal Troubles Continue to Mount
These latest allegations come as Combs remains in jail awaiting trial on a series of sex-related charges. His reputation has suffered a major blow, with multiple lawsuits and accusations surfacing from former associates, employees, and alleged victims.
While Combs has yet to respond to Smith’s claims, his legal team has been aggressively pushing back against the various lawsuits, insisting that he is being unfairly targeted.
Pattern of Intimidation and Control?
Smith’s accusations align with other accounts of Combs’ aggressive behavior over the years. Industry insiders have long speculated about his use of intimidation tactics to maintain power in the music industry.
Legal experts suggest that if more allegations emerge, Combs could face further legal consequences beyond his current criminal charges.
As The Fall of Diddy continues to unveil new revelations, the public is left questioning how deep Combs’ alleged history of manipulation and threats truly runs.
