Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds took a break from legal drama to enjoy a cozy family baking session with their four children. The couple, who have been married since 2012, shared glimpses of their sweet treats on Instagram on Sunday.
Lively, 37, posted a smiling selfie with Reynolds, 48, as they decorated cupcakes and sugar cookies shaped like horses. Their children—James, 10, Inez, 8, Betty, 5, and Olin, 2—joined in the fun, helping to cover the cookies in brown, white, and black icing.
A Sweet Escape From Legal Battles
In one of her posts, the Gossip Girl alum joked about their sugar-filled day. She captioned a photo of the decorated desserts, saying that families who bake together also indulge in too much buttercream together. The post was set to the lullaby All the Pretty Little Horses.
This lighthearted family moment comes as Lively remains embroiled in a high-profile legal battle with It Ends With Usdirector Justin Baldoni, 41.
The actress sued Baldoni in December 2024, alleging that he sexually harassed her on set and later orchestrated a smear campaign against her. Baldoni has denied all allegations.
Lawsuits and Courtroom Drama Intensify
The legal feud escalated in January when Baldoni filed a $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds, and her publicist, Leslie Sloane. The actor-director claimed that Lively was attempting to tarnish his reputation and financially destroy him.
Last month, Lively’s legal team requested that certain court documents be labeled “Attorney’s Eyes Only” to limit public access. Baldoni’s lawyers pushed back, accusing her of trying to conceal information.
Last week, a judge approved Lively’s request for a protective order, preventing Baldoni from leaking sensitive case details. However, a loophole in the order allows documents cited in trial proceedings to become public.
The high-stakes case is set to go to trial in March 2026. Until then, it appears that Lively and Reynolds are focusing on their family and finding moments of joy amid the chaos.
Despite the controversy, the Hollywood power couple continues to project a united front. With their recent baking day, they proved that even in the midst of a legal storm, family time remains a priority.
